Former state budget director Robert Mujica’s consulting work for a powerful hospital lobbying group this year raised questions about his adherence to a law seeking to limit the revolving door between public servants and outside interests.

New financial disclosures show Mujica began consulting for the Greater New York Hospital Association two months ahead of its multimillion-dollar lobbying blitz to pressure Governor Kathy Hochul to increase Medicaid spending — and before the group held multiple lobbying meetings with Mujica’s former agency, the Division of Budget.

The Bronx Democratic Party has paid close to $300,000 over the past few years to a political consultancy run by a close ally of state senator and Bronx party chair Jamaal Bailey, new financial disclosures show.

The disclosures included over a dozen missing or incomplete reports covering a period of more than four years.

The Bronx Democratic Party reported hundreds of thousands of dollars in previously undisclosed donations on Friday following reporting from New York Focus that found the group had failed to disclose dozens of political contributions — a violation of state law.
